Coaches Resources

The Cleveland Barons are committed to providing a safe, positive, and development-focused environment for all players. To ensure our athletes receive quality instruction and are protected both on and off the ice, all coaches must meet the certification and compliance requirements established by USA Hockey. These requirements apply to head coaches and assistant coaches and are designed to promote player safety, age-appropriate development, and coaching excellence.

All USA Hockey Requirements must be completed prior to participating in any team activities.

Coaches are expected to maintain current USA Hockey Coaching Education Program (CEP) certifications and complete all required coaching education requirements in a timely manner. The CEP program ensures coaches continue their education, stay up to date on best practices, and provide a positive, development-focused experience for all players.  If your CEP is expiring, it is vital that you register and complete a clinic prior to December 31st of the current year.  If you do not, you will not be eligible to coach after December 31st.
